Logomo is a centre for culture, arts and creative economy operating from the defunct locomotive workshop near the main railway station, the busstation and close to Turku city centre. A pedestrian bridge provides access from the main railway station to Logomo. Walking from the Market Square takes about 20 minutes.
In addition to concerts, it´s the ideal venue for meetings, seminars, congresses, fairs, exhibitions, film screenings and private events. In 2018, there were nearly 1 200 different events held at Logomo and the number of visitors reached 320,000. More than 400 people work for the many companies (approx. 80) located in Logomo Byrå and Konttori. Logomo also accommodates several artists’ studios.
The oldest part of Logomo, LOGI Hall, provides a beautiful and comfortable setting for meetings, concerts and private functions. The hall combines the character of the historic workshop with romantic arch windows and modern technology. TEATRO Hall is Logomo Hall’s little sister. The hall is adaptable and provides the possibility for a combination of raised seating and level floor space. TEATRO Hall can be set up for corporate events, gigs, circus performances, stand-up comedy – anything you can imagine! TEATRO Gallery works as an adaptable space for various purposes, such as public gatherings.
Accessibility played a crucial role during Logomo’s design phase. Every floor can be accessed by a lift and the number of doorway thresholds has been kept minimal. Wheelchair seating is located in the higher section ´C´, which is accessible by lift. This seating area also provides excellent visibility to the stage. Hearing accessibility has been ensured through the use of portable loop systems. More information about accessibility.
